Lavie has worked with leading companies across multiple industry sectors both as an organizational and strategy consultant and as a trainer on executive education programs. Prior to pursuing his academic career, he advised companies in the biotechnology, chemicals, cosmetics, healthcare, education, software, computers, and aerospace and defense industries. During his academic career he has taught on multiple executive programs for companies such as Intel, Microsoft, Rafael and Pirelli, and conducted field research in companies such as National Instruments, Cadence Design, Vignette, Unisys, and Johnson & Johnson. He has also designed and directed unique academic programs, such as the Startup MBA program that enables students to start their companies while earning their MBA. He has been a keynote speaker at various forums, such as the Strategic Management Society and the Academy of Management.
Lavie has neither engaged in paid consulting nor received any funding from companies during his academic career.
